5Best price

Make sure to use ATF fluid. I used brake cleaner to get all that synthetic oil out of the primary on my Harley Ultra. Presoak your clutches and wipe your steels clean of shipping oil. They come packaged seperately from friction discs for good reason.
Synthetic oil too slippery if you have any power upgrades at all.

5Alto makes a Quality Product

After a good bit of research, I settled on this product. My only concern was that some research indicated that carbon discs could have a much lower coefficient of friction than organic compounds. So I was considering Alto's Red Eagle discs. First I contacted Alto to ask what the coefficient of friction was for this set. Alto would not release specific technical data, but they did say that the coefficient of friction for their Carbonite discs was higher than their Red Eagle discs. Installation was a breeze and I have no problems so far (one month-ride every day 80+miles).

5Holds 95" Edelbrock Performer RPM
By Al
My stock clutch was slipping in 5th gear. I think this happened because I put synthetic motor oil (with friction modifiers) in the primary. I had also put a 280lb light pull diaphram spring in as well. I decided to first try putting non-friction modified oil in the primary. Even after I changed it out the clutch would slip. Then I bought a 340lb spring from HD and ordered this kit.

Install was pretty easy, although instructions lacked a bit of info. You have to reuse the 2 metal rings that sit at the very back of the clutch pack (next to the hub). Other than that, it was a piece of cake. I was able to reuse the primary gasket. I also filled it with ATF Type F this time. Now the clutch holds whatever I throw at it, and it has no noticeable different feel from stock, other than the stiffer spring. Highly recommend this clutch pack if you're replacing yours. The stock pieces probably cost almost as much, plus this one has more friction area on every di sc and also has an extra disc.
